This piece represents the emotional feelings of a new postgraduate student at Monash. The journey begins from the black area from which the various colours flow. The early time is characterised by a great deal of energy and change, which gives way to softer hues of orange then brown to represent emerging stability and focus. The colours change again and brighten as friendships blossom and success brings joy, culminating in clarity and understanding which is symbolised by blue.
