Social events

The MPA run social events across all Victorian campuses along with regular coffee clubs at Caulfield and Clayton.

Annual highlights are the Supervisor of the Year Award night and the Postgraduate Ball, held in conjunction with Melbourne Uni.

Leave that assignment or thesis for a little while and join us for a free lunch with an Italian theme. This is a great opportunity to catch up with friends and meet postgraduates from other areas. Vegetarians and halal catered for. It is a free lunch, but you need to book. Please bring your booking confirmation, it is your entry ticket!

All coursework and research postgraduates are invited to come and find out about the services that MPA can provide at the Alfred Medical Research and Education Precinct including advice and advocacy, postgraduate seminars and social events. This is also an opportunity to inform the MPA about the needs of AMREP postgraduates. Meet other postgraduates and help us develop a postgraduate network. Free BBQ will be provided.

16/9 - Free lunch & discussion (Law Chambers)

All coursework and research postgraduates are invited to find out about the services that MPA provides including advice and advocacy, postgraduate seminars and social events. It is also an opportunity to inform the MPA about the needs of Law Chambers-based postgraduates. Meet other postgraduates and develop a postgraduate network. Free lunch will be provided.

18/9 - Annual Melbourne/Monash Postgrad Ball — Angels & Demons

Yes, more free food! Tear yourselves away from that computer to experience the variety of cuisine that Asia has to offer.  Meet new postgraduates or catch up with old friends.  Vegetarian and halal catered for.

13/10 - Free lunch: Indian (Caulfield)

Come along to meet new postgraduates or catch up with old friends over a free lunch with an Indian theme. Vegetarians and halal catered for.

22/10 - Free lunch: the great Aussie BBQ (Clayton)

The most popular event on the MPA calendar. This free BBQ lunch provides you with an opportunity to meet and greet new and current postgraduates in a social environment. Vegetarian and halal catered for.
