Postgraduate facilities

In 2009 there are 20 postgraduates enrolled through the Berwick campus. All of them are research students and many of them are also staff. This means that they will have access to staff facilities in their departments and faculties.

Business and Economics
Rooms 231-234 have recently been converted into a single space for PhD students enrolled in the Faculty of Business and Economics at Berwick and is administered through the Berwick Head of Faculty Office. This PhD Precinct includes desks for 8 students, a lounge area, a large meeting table and several bookcases. Computers are provided through the Department in which students are enrolled.

This office space is not available for casual use, however enquiries regarding on-going use of the room can be made through the Head of Faculty Office by contacting Annita Allman or Jo Prezioso on extensions 47224 or 47098 respectively. Email enquiries regarding the use of this room can be made via email.

Representation

The Monash Postgraduate Association (MPA) represents and serves the interests and welfare of postgraduates enrolled on all Victorian campuses by providing activities and services to cater to their specific needs.

The MPA provides a range of services including advice and advocacy, seminars and workshops, social events and representation.  Enrolled postgraduates are automatically entitled to use the resources and services of the MPA.

Zuzana Quinn is the MPA staff member responsible for liaising with Berwick campus postgraduates.

Zuzana is a member of the Berwick Campus Student Experience Network (CSEN) and attends regular meetings to keep track of campus specific developments and activities. Minutes of the most recent meeting can be found on the Berwick forum page.

The MPA representative at Berwick is Robert Saunders.

The Monash Research Graduate School has a number of resources available for research students through their exPERT series.

exPERT DVDs - DVDs are available for loan from the Libraries. To find the expert DVDs at your closest library please enter “Monash Research Graduate School” in the “author” section of the search engine in the library catalogue.
